Desert Diner — Community Guidelines & Acceptable Use Policy

Desert Diner is a community of food lovers, vendors, and event organizers. These Guidelines keep it safe, useful, and welcoming. They apply to everything you post or do on the Service — listings, menus, photos, events, flyers, reviews, replies, messages, profiles, and bookings — and are part of our Terms of Service.

We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behavior.

You may not post or do the following

• Illegal content or activity — anything that violates any law, including selling food without required permits/licenses, or selling prohibited goods.
• Hate, harassment, or threats — content that attacks or demeans people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender, sexual orientation, age, or other protected characteristic; bullying; stalking; or threats of violence.
• Sexual or obscene content — pornography, sexual content, or content that sexualizes minors (we report child sexual abuse material to authorities).
• Violence or dangerous content — graphic violence, or content that promotes self-harm or dangerous acts.
• Deceptive content — impersonation, fraud, scams, fake listings, fake or incentivized reviews, false health/allergen claims, or misrepresenting prices or availability.
• Spam — unsolicited promotions, repetitive content, or off-topic advertising.
• Infringement — content that violates someone else's copyright, trademark, privacy, or other rights, including posting photos you don't have the right to use.
• Private information — sharing another person's private or personal information without consent.
• Malware or abuse of the platform — viruses, scraping, automated access, or attempts to break security or rate limits.
• Off-platform circumvention for harm — using messaging or listings to facilitate anything prohibited here.

Food safety & health

Vendors must follow all applicable food-safety, health, labeling, and allergen-disclosure laws. Customers should always confirm ingredients and allergens directly with the vendor. Desert Diner does not inspect food or verify claims.

Reviews

Reviews must describe a genuine, first-hand experience. Don't post fake, paid, retaliatory, or conflict-of-interest reviews, and don't review your own business.

Reporting and blocking

• Report any content or user that violates these Guidelines using the in-app report option.
• Block users you don't want to interact with; blocked users can't message you.
• We review reports promptly — typically within 24 hours — and may remove content, warn, suspend, or permanently ban users who violate these Guidelines.

Enforcement

Violations may result in content removal, feature restrictions, suspension, or permanent termination, at our discretion. Serious violations (e.g., illegal content, threats) may be reported to law enforcement. We may act without prior notice when necessary to protect the community.

These Guidelines may change over time. Continued use of the Service means you accept the current version.
